  Everything about that movie was so intimate in every aspect of storytelling.

  Infernal Affairs 2002

  Having finally seen where The Departed got its bones and inspiration, I can firmly say that both stand as great pieces of film. Andrew Lau made a Hong Kong classic, Martin Scorsese made a Hollywood blockbuster. 

  This ran so Marty could run. 

  The music choices are so bold. The shots are so dynamic and alive. 

  Andy Lau has never been cooler. Or colder.

  My boy Tony is looking scraggly and I’m not mad about it. Again showing why he’s king. 

  Eric Tsang is a phenom. 

  You dream about making films like this.
