A faithful re-telling of its progenitor. An amazing first half, but it lost me in the second. The monster is scarier then ever, but beyond the first half, he loses much of his teeth, pun intended. If we never left the castle in the first act, it'd be 5 stars.

Antebellum 2020
A terrible movie, in that conceptually, it's premise is one of the most awful things I can imagine. I can hardly imagine it came from anything but a most frightening nightmare. Spoiling as little as possible, the movie drifts between two characters, played by the same actor. As the movie progresses, the line between the two blur and it becomes something altogether different, and horrifying. Although a good movie, it is by no means a fun watch, and despite the ending, I left feeling saddened that for some F'ed up reason, people still fly Confederate flags.

Immediately in my top five animated movies ever. Totally infectious characters, a good heart-breaker story and an awesome and interesting world.
The animation was excellent, I really enjoyed how expressive the titular character is especially. The world was colorful and eye-catching, and the setting of future-fuedal is always really neat to see, I'll definitely be checking out the graphic novel.
