  “I. Don’t. Give. A. Fuck.“

  Michael Fassbender’s omnipresent voice-overs portray ‘The Killer’ in complete control at all times. He’s efficient with his meals (10 grams of protein from McDonalds, a gas station boiled egg), efficient with his kills (stakeout across the street with a high powered rifle), disciplined in his mindset (yoga and timed naps while waiting). So what happens when it all goes wrong?  David Fincher’s camera voyeuristically followers ‘The Killer’ as he ties up loose ends. It’s not revenge, that would be far too emotional for an assassin, right?

  “I. Don’t. Give. A. Fuck.”  Sure. Whatever you say.

  Ugggggggh. Amazing visual style, amazing potential, but no character ever makes a rational decision, some characters I was actively rooting for their death. Needless expositions to pull the audience along and ask, ‘you’re understanding what this implies, right?!?’when the visual storytelling doesn’t need any extra assistance. Disappointing.
