  The first film I've watched in a month and a half. And what an experience. I found it to be very on the nose in its message, but the final 45 minutes is so much fun, I stopped caring. It was great to watch it in the African bush with some new friends

  This film was made in an alternate universe. Though no big feat in story or dialogue, Rebel Without a Cause kept me rigorously invested with plenty of iconic scenes that are especially fun if you're high. Rebel Without a Cause boasts a blend of melodrama and comedy, a homage and a self expression in one. Vibe-setting is a real directorial skill and I commend everyone involved.   Take away the objectification of women, the pseudo fantasy, the cliches, predictability, and the hit or miss dialogue, and you'd be left with a good film. But you'd also be left with no film at all. I liked it anyway for some reason.
