A Skin Too Few: The Days of Nick Drake 2002
Short, melodic, consistently melancholy, with — for the most part — a unique and distant visual approach. (Some shots almost look like they were made on Sirkian sets, but I think they’re actually his former home).

I’ve wanted to see this for years and finally found it on Plex, liberally peppered with 3-minute ads for Amazon and weight loss injections.
The movie itself has got a great period look to it, with elaborate sets and muted pastels; there’s the iconic Herrmann score; Mills is endlessly dreamy, Whitelaw simmers so intensely she practically gives off heat waves and Bennett gets tons of mileage out of the eyebrows he arches above his evil cherub face.
