Revisiting a tragedy through the lens of a newsroom is a strong intellectual premise. Placing the machinations in the newsroom at the center with the tragedy as context is not. Am I supposed to care that ABC beat CBS to the coverage? Celebrate when they successfully smuggle film reels into the Olympic village? Fist pump when they sneak the ABC logo into the CBS broadcast? All in the name of broadcasting a hostile act of terrorism that left 11 Israelis dead and not even doing a good job of it? I’m good. Not sure how this one got green-lit. weird vibes.
