I had hoped for a fun summer movie in Barbie, and the beginning seemed promising, but unfortunately it was far from fun. There were some good jokes, and I enjoyed much of the artistic direction of the movie, but the storyline was uninteresting, and a significant portion of the dialogue revolved around the idea that women have no power in our modern society, which was annoying because it’s untrue, and the way it was presented was so forceful and lacking…
