Blue Velvet 1986
Strange, atmospheric, and hard to watch. Just didn’t hit like I thought it would. I’m not really interested enough in the story or the characters to want to try to intellectualize this thing.
The only thing keeping my attention was my knowledge that this was a famous Lynch film (RIP). Want to see more of his films in the future and hopefully I can reflect back on this one with a new perspective.

I know this shit went crazy if you saw it in 1958
Not at all what I expected and more complex than other Hitchcock films I’ve seen. Several genres packed into one movie and it doesn’t really make sense until it’s over
Watched in 70mm at Vista Theater in Los Feliz. Unfortunately they had to pause the movie three times to cycle the film
