This had so much potential to be a solid crime drama about corruption and they fumbled it so much. I would have been fine if the movie were 3 hours and just structured better. The movie has almost no solid character development outside of Adam Driver's character who had the most interest arc. Everyone else just switches on a dime to what the plot wants…
There's something about the cinematography of this movie that just feels real even when its not pov, I don't know how ot describe it
But the I don't think this movie can improve on a rewatch, since I know a decent amount about Vincent due to the other movies he has learning about his psychology isn't all that interesting. Its something you like or don't like from a first watch, after that nothing changes for it
This is one of the technically best made movies ever. The Cinematography is amazing, I really like the misty and old type look used. The Soundtrack is Brilliant. The Production Design is great and unbelievable. The Costume Design of course is really good. Kristen Stewart was pretty good. All the rest of the performances were also good. Its good but its not one of my favorites. All the performances are good. The Writing is really good but their are a lot of extra scenes that I just don't feel are needed and this movie could have been so much shorter if they had cut those scenes out. Its just way too long and kinda boring a lot of the time for me to like this as much as other people.
