The cherry pie scene is definitely insensitive but otherwise this is the kind of fun action movie I can see becoming a new classic. The classic Hollywood action star is already so numb that I think making one who literally can't feel pain is just the natural next step, and it really works. Novocaine II: No Pain, No Gain when?

There's nothing I've seen quite like this film. It plays such an absurd premise (gritty high school noir) so straight that I fully bought into it.
And, I mean, just the look of it all! The spinning mirror scene! The callback in the yard! The back of the van! Nothing about this film isn't hard to look away from.
