Thelma 2017
After watching "Thelma," I couldn't shake off the eerie vibes it left me with. When the credits rolled, I was stuck in this mix of fascination and slight creepiness. It's one of those films that sticks with you.
One thing that really worked for me in "Thelma" was how they used visuals and camera work. The Norwegian landscapes were stunning, and they really nailed the close-up shots to capture Thelma's inner struggle. It made everything feel so real and unsettling…

This film was, for me, an incredibly fun watch. Obviously a trailblazer of the psycho-horror/drama genre, it was a perfect example of an abstract collage of confusing elements that came together in a beautiful resolution. Films that provoke critical thought, but still intentionally take you on a journey of confusion are so fun, making this an easy recommendation for anyone who likes an “oooohhhhh” moment.
