Booksmart 2019
Going into Booksmart, I expected a light-weight, quirky, and somewhat humorous film. What I got was so much more. It was genuinely refreshing to watch— exactly the type of film to see when you have a lot on your mind. It’s a film that captures a strong, intense bond between two teen girls, Molly, and, Amy. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2018
Originally I thought that this film was going to have added onto the overly-done, saturated Spiderman content. However, it was nothing like any of its other spinoff counterparts. The creativity behind the Spiderman multiverse is simply fascinating— a big idea that is fortunately well-executed. Top knotch animation and unique directing style. Also the storyline revolving around Peter Parker was engaging and new. We are all familiar with Spiderman’s main plotline, challenges/triumphs, and background; so being able to see more from Parker’s character was highly rewarding.
