Going into Booksmart, I expected a light-weight, quirky, and somewhat humorous film. What I got was so much more. It was genuinely refreshing to watch— exactly the type of film to see when you have a lot on your mind. It’s a film that captures a strong, intense bond between two teen girls, Molly, and, Amy. They each have their quirks and oddities, but as a pair, they’re even weirder and wilder. Their chemistry makes the film a more interesting…
Originally I thought that this film was going to have added onto the overly-done, saturated Spiderman content. However, it was nothing like any of its other spinoff counterparts. The creativity behind the Spiderman multiverse is simply fascinating— a big idea that is fortunately well-executed. Top knotch animation and unique directing style. Also the storyline revolving around Peter Parker was engaging and new. We are all familiar with Spiderman’s main plotline, challenges/triumphs, and background; so being able to see more from Parker’s character was highly rewarding.
A typical feel-good film. It posseses a plot so recognizable and familiar that you know the beginning and end before even buying your ticket! To be fair, one of Yesterday’s few redeemable qualities was its abstract concept of a world without the Beatles. Any living person knows that the Beatles were far more than musicians. They have inspired influential figures of history, revolutionalized multiple genres of music, and have forever cratered our society. With such a powerful group of people…
