This movie is TRYING to be Xanadu, except this theme is that 80s glam rock must kill 60s rock instead of living alongside it. Great choreography and costumes, but sadly falls short at both at an audio recording level and a songwriting level. Many silly jokes though! If someone rewrote the music this would be a solid Broadway musical comedy

Like watching a 3-hour long deposition with an explosion in the middle. Very confusing with the large number of characters and time jumps. Black and white was used for some but not all “future” scenes, a style choice that made it more difficult to figure out when a scene was happening.
The most egregious failure of this movie is that it’s advertised as THE movie to see on IMAX, yet aside from the Los Alamos test explosion and a brief dream sequence all you’ll be seeing in IMAX is a bunch of guys in suits arguing around a table.
