  If Hitchcock is the Pelé, and Kubrick the Maradona, then PTA is the Messi of cinema. He raises his own bar and smashes it out the park every single time without fail.

  This is such a toxic, transformative, encapsulating and ultimately very sad experience that feels half its run time. The performances are fantastic, the score is enchanting and delicate, the costume design is beautiful. There’s nothing I can say about this film in the negative, it’s quite amazing.

  Bong Joon Ho is one of my favourite directors working today. So I can’t tell if I’m being needlessly critical and setting an unrealistically high standard but I just did not fuck with this film much at all!

  I dunno. I was dead excited for this, but in the end I just felt let down. 

  It’s got some good jokes, but if I’m being honest, as the Deadpool films go on, the quantity, and quality, of good jokes, in my opinion, really deteriorates. There’s no real thought or love built into how these jokes are told, portrayed, and in the end feels a little insulting. “They’ll laugh because it’s Deadpool”… and sure, that still worked on me, and…
