    If Hitchcock is the Pelé, and Kubrick the Maradona, then PTA is the Messi of cinema. He raises his own bar and smashes it out the park every single time without fail.

    This is such a toxic, transformative, encapsulating and ultimately very sad experience that feels half its run time. The performances are fantastic, the score is enchanting and delicate, the costume design is beautiful. There’s nothing I can say about this film in the negative, it’s quite amazing.
