  Not to parrot something I noticed another reviewer said- take my word for it- but I think the true emotional magnitude of this film hit me as I left the theater. This film made me feel vulnerable and insecure for the few minutes following its conclusion for the first time in a long time. I felt like I had regressed into my much-more-insecure teenage self, which isn't so far off as I'm in my mid 20's.

  Best to go into this without knowing it was Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2nd acting credit.

  The film really stunned me. Much of it was incredibly bizarre, epecially the punchy (if sometimes clunky) dialogue and delivery. I found myself laughing with delight during its most absurd moments. Yet somehow it also cooks low and slow, with plenty of smoke to go with it.
