  Steve McCleary has to be the most annoying character ever written. The major stress for me in this movie was if he would ever shut up, think straight and let anyone else get a word in. I mean the guy is ambitious, but he had no guts, no gut feeling. He thought he was too man about town to even let Donna Reed finish a sentence. Shuuuuut-uuuuuup. Well it added to the tension I guess.   A masterpiece of story telling. Moshe Mizrahi gets the deep truths of human connection and need. I am in awe. A film that makes me feel as if seeing it is an honor. Simone Signoret is raw and honest, both she and Jean Rochefort give performances of such purity that I am moved by their artistry as well as the story. The story is beautiful, and in the hands of Mizrahi a deep journey of the heart.
