  Felt disappointed after finishing it. There is good acting, a coherent and serviceable plot, and good action, but the whole thing feels way too generic and template. Significant plot point are introduced then paid off immediately constantly so nothing has enough investment to stick beyond the overall arcs of Mescal and Washington. Does include the funniest CGI monkeys of all time

  Had a big smile on my face the entire time watching this. Unique, interesting, funny, and unpredictable. Fantastic campy pantomime acting. Maybe runs a little bit long but regardless this is the best movie I've seen in the cinema in ages

  File this one under "not for me". It looks fantastic and the creativity of the world does keep you interested with what they're about to show you next, but the actual plot of Paprika completely lost me. I found it difficult to follow and ultimately pretty boring. I respect the imagination on display but I wasn't invested at all in any of the characters or what was happening because everything was so convoluted

  Sloppy, clumsy and heavy handed. The action has its moments but the production is so over the top with constant camera cuts, drone shots, and police driving into their own doom for no reason. Acting on the whole is good but some of the dialogue is so corny and rushed it feels like full conversations were presented just as a supercut. Not a single character in this is likeable despite the entire plot of film telling you what a stand up guy this one guy is. Has its fun dumb scenes like Speed or Fast and Furious but without any of the charm
