Fake marriage! Fake marriage is better than fake dating, I said it. Higher stakes, baby.

I really enjoyed the foundation of this film - I like the buddy cop style, the Brooklyn 99-esque personality disputes, the backstories. The problem was that this film tried to do too much in the hour and a half it had. Had this been a season of a television show, I absolutely would’ve eaten it up. Egregious product placement returns! Rich people eat Campbell's soup, just like us.

    Starring: Katrina Law, Carlo Marks

Despite having by far the most bingo squares (@theheartofreviews on instagram), this film is really different for Hallmark.

Starring: Katrina Law, Jordan Belfi, Bobby Campo

This has fake dating, lying about who you really are, old flames, and just so many secrets and lies. It's incredible and the storylines tie together so nicely.

This is a Hallmark movie that doesn't treat its audience like babies, but has foreshadowing and a real plot. And also so much kissing. And sex references?…

    Crashing Through the Snow

Crashing Through the Snow was a return to form for Hallmark and a breath of fresh air.

It featured a divorced couple with nuance, depth, and real heartfelt issues - not to mention alcohol, inappropriate jokes and references, and a realistic main plotline. Heck, they even used Christmas Wrapping!

This is the way Hallmark was once and, while I love the new movies like all of you with their clean cut jokes and familiar plots and checklist of Christmas activities,…
