Supernova 2020
This is an all round beautiful film. Both Stanley Tucci and Colin Firth are immaculate. The lengthy yet entirely engaging dialogue is skilfully aided by the cinematography. I couldn’t quite give it 5 stars due to the fact it is completely heart-wrenching with little emotional let up.

Marriage Story 2019
It felt rare to watch a film within which you don’t see the marriage between the two characters at all, it is all centred around the divorce which creates an interesting dynamic. I really like how you don’t side with either Charlie or Nicole. You are kept at arms length as a viewer allowing for that more objective view, but you still invest emotionally. Laura Dern definitely deserved the Oscar she won for Best Supporting Actress. It is a very considered and beautifully written film. Adam Driver never disappoints.

Pieces of a Woman 2020
Found the first half an hour completely griping due to the extended long take and the realistic nature of the scene. Vanessa Kirby’s acting is unbelievably good and makes the film a worthy watch.
