  Always a classic. I remember this was one of my favorites movies growing up. It’s always a delight to revisit it as I grow older. The humor is still funny and the plot brilliant. Love the characters and the script. It’s so quotable. 10/10 would recommend.

  This movie is so sweet. I love the artistic nature and how it fits with the main character. The story line is well written and surprising. Not often do you see an arranged marriage turn out healthy. You can tell they actually really love each other. The characters are sympathetic and have their different personalities. I love the whimsical element that connects with Suzu as an artist. Also very sad parts do occur. But it’s not as bad as Grave…

  Always love revisiting this movie. Good characters and excellent plot. I love the story of a writer telling the stories of others and their joys and sorrows. It really inspires me as a writer. For some reason I also always get a deep sense of nostalgia watching it (probably because my family would watch it a lot when I was a kid). There are moments that are hard to watch. But the wholesome scenes hit hard and fill you with joy. The performances are great and the score is beautiful. Love this movie.
