How the Grinch Stole Christmas 2000
90 minutes of mugging. This came out when I was 4 and I couldn’t stand it even as a kid.
The points it gets are for the sets and overall production design. Shame I couldn’t really enjoy any of it because the camerawork was motion-sickness inducing and the color grading makes Whoville look like it’s in Silent Hill.

Salem's Lot 2024
A horror movie severely lacking in any horror.
Visually, the movie’s very much on the right track, but having to truncate the novel this heavily means losing a lot of what made it memorable. The horror and, far more importantly, tragedy of what happens to ‘Salem’s Lot is completely lost by having to cram the novel into only 2 hours.
