  I hope every McDonagh picture is like this one and Banshees. He has a gift for creating super emotionally engaging tales about small events that create chaos in a community. This time a very brutal and raw look at remorse, grief and forgiveness. People are assholes and every time you think you agree with someone, they do something completely left-field, but completely human. It's really a lack of communication that renders peace in this community hard and only through tragedy…

  Genuinely filled with some of the strangest imagery I have ever seen. Uses animation like I've never seen. Also very weird and I did not understand all of it but the motifs were fun and it just all felt right, idk man.

  Wtf was even the point of most of this? Such a cool and new premise and nothing comes out of it except some cool, although kind of repetitive cinematography. The first hour alone makes this a 6. If the film was more straightforward and didnt take an hour to get to what it was actually about, it would be a 4 probably.

  Despite the fact this movie is able to match its antecedent, the most impressive thing that Across the Spider-Verse does is top the visual quality and innovation of the first one. Every single opportunity to change the visual style is taken and used to its maximum potential, giving us a new visual spectacle that blends in with the other styles and it's just pure bliss.
