I need to rewatch this cause oh my god there’s so much in there. A tad overstimulating for me. Weird choice of music (what’s with that Brazilian Tic, Tic, Tac remix/mush up over every scene where the director is talking?) but the amount of footage shot by Christopher Doyle and the countless scenes where a mesmerising Hong Kong serves as a dreamy set for strange love stories, I gotta say this delivered what I was expecting and more.
Absolutely terrible, the Oscars deserve a boycott for giving this absolute disaster of a movie so many nominations. Outrageously offensive and deeply ignorant.
