Loved this. It’s really everything I like so much about films, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever want to revisit it.

The characters are odd and relatable, and very human. The story is simple, but serves as an excellent backdrop for some incredibly thought out character growth that was really interesting to observe. The cinematography is stunning, and every shot compliments and contributes to the tone of the story really well. Every aspect of filmmaking is firing on all…

A thriller in every sense of the word. The dialogue and character interactions in this film are so quick, subtly funny, interesting, and entertaining. All of these characters and their interactions are really just over the backdrop of a bank robbery, which clearly has inspired aspects of just about every heist film of the last 50 years.

Sidney Lumet is an incredible director and this film, along with 12 Angry Men are undoubtedly some of the most important films of the 20th century. Can’t wait to watch more of his films.

Made it 40 minutes in, couldn’t take it anymore. Genuinely just an awful movie.

This film is hilarious, smart, and still all too relevant. Masterpiece.
