  i used to HATE this movie a couple of years ago! i thought ferris was a huge spoiled jerk (tbh he kinda is…) but idk how i missed everything else that’s beautiful in this movie. all the characters are fleshed out and distinct (except for sloane, that’s the curse of being a female love interest). cameron’s arc is done well and, despite the title, i’d argue is the true heart & story of the movie. plus the art gallery and parade…

  there’s nothing i love more than hating on shitty modern art and YET i UNDERSTOOD those eggs! eggs are the shell that protects developing life. tilda swinton was the shell, her cryogenic artist husband was the yolk! she HAD to be hard to keep him alive! the thorns that protect the rose! those paintings made art of her toughness, that’s why she loved her husbands paintings in a way nobody else did, because nobody else sees beauty in a hard shell.…
