PENANCE
I find it extremely hard to review August Underground’s Penance without showering it in love then saying genuinely nothing about the film itself at all
This being my FAVOURITE entry into the franchise I couldn’t give enough thanks and love to Fred Vogel and Toe Tag for this entire trilogy cemented well into extreme cinema history forever, with Fred still putting so much work and love into the genre
August Underground literally come out the year I was born…
maybe some of my favourite deaths I’ve seen in a slasher other then that it was ok
skinamarink of slashers maybe
Snowtown an absolute barrel of fun! this film based off one of australia’s most notorious serial murders and boy does it to it justice
Snowtown is 2 hours of constant fear and uncertainty, it is one of the most grim and bleak films i think if ever seen and it absolutely has to be.
choosing to cast not so professional australian actors adds an intense amount of authenticity to this story too, great film all round a must watch for lovers of extreme cinema? but definitely a must watch for fans of true crime
fucking hell lucky i didn’t feel like sleeping tonight
Oddity is a true master class in dread for 90mins straight this film had me relentlessly clutching my pearls hoping that it would let me catch my breath at some point throughout but it doesn’t
Damian Mc Carthy has perfectly injected every thinkable emotion into this movie it’s really special for a modern day horror film and i hope it doesn’t fly under the radar for people this is a MUST WATCH film for 2024
wish i would’ve watched it with a heart rate monitor on i need a wine
