An excellent homage to the original
The original Nosferatu was intended to be a German film for German people using names and locations that were familiar for them. It’s interesting to still see the influence in the background with the accurate Christmas decor. The shot composition is great with a lot of shots similar in style to both the silent film and the Herzog Nosferatu. Great buildup to the end and way more jump scares than the other Eggers films I’ve seen
Lacking depth
I feel like the movie had a concept and just went with it, but didn’t flesh out any significant meaning within the themes. There were bits that they could’ve dug into further and made the film truly interesting. Instead, the story just felt very one dimensional. The sex scenes weren’t that sexy either
"Everywhere at the End of Time" but make it cinema
This film is the most accurate depiction I've seen of the experience of dementia, as well as what it's like to be a caretaker for that person. The special thing about this film is that it is shot mostly through the lens of the person experiencing dementia instead of the caretaker's.

At first glance, this is not exactly the most stellar horror movie in the A24 cannon. However, taking the themes of the film into consideration, this was a very impactful and important movie (to me).
This is a movie about grief, guilt, and surviving abuse. Taking into account the protagonist's abuse and subsequent (possible) suicide of her husband in the beginning, one can see how this affects her decisions and how she views men.
