5 for the nostalgia factor, probably would be a 4 if I'd seen it today. I don't care what you say Ebert!

This movie was a killer commentary on the war between generations, with and awesome sound track and playing perfectly off of established serial killer/ zombie movie tropes. It never explains " why", but that doesn't bother me and the ending leaves me tense and concerned but feels satisfying. The actors are great and I would recommend this shit to anyone.

If you are searching for the ideal 80's campy horror move, with over the top effects, and a possible poly triangle happening between 30 year old teenagers, this movie is for you.

This is supposed to be I've the top, and oh boy is it over he top. The Klowns explode into confetti when shot, and the sentient popcorn that is literal alien klown seeds left to grown in the hamper are just icing in the cake.

10/10 would watch again.

Did you ever want to watch Poltergeist again, but different? This movie mixes the modern aesthetic of scary isolated snow house, with the plot line of Poltergeist with the outfits to match! The monster design is genuinely really great, and the over the top gore at the end was super enjoyable and well done. The rest....well, it's fine?

Definitely watch if you want a predictable horror jaunt.
