  Finally figured out why I don't like this film after watching it dozens of times with my 2-year-old. There are five songs in the first thirty minutes and they're all varied, charming, clever in their own way. Act I culminates in "Let It Go," which is one of the great Disney songs, full stop. There's a feeling of forward motion going into the next section of the film that feels thrilling.

  What follows is another hour of increasingly muddled storytelling…

  If nothing else, I am utterly amazed at how this movie does not waste even a single frame in letting the viewer know that they are in for a bad time. The movie jumps in with a flashback to the first film to catch up the uninitiated (like myself, full disclaimer). There is no amount of eye bleach that will help one unsee the SHOCKING difference in the quality of animation…

  Ended on an appropriately sour note with this underexplored gem, a Christian comedy featuring the director of Longlegs as a guardian angel, the voice of Patrick Star as a security guard, and Gary Busey as an evil businessman reincarnated as a dog. Every time Gary speaks as the dog there's no voice over, we just see him…
