Very gimmcky and uninteresting.. Only scary thing in this film is the creepy relationship between mother and son. Also that cry and vailing at the end is the most unconvincing acting in ages.

Atlantic City 1980
Such an amazing movie. Burt Lancaster and Susan Sarandon are simply great, performances of the career for both of them. Burt is at the end of his career and Susan at the beginning of hers but what chemistry!!! Any other movie scene where an old guy is talking to a young woman about how he watches her at night through the window would be creepy and cringe but Malle makes it look so sad and sweet.
