Devastatingly beautiful surreal film ruminating on how television/fandom can be a way for a queer audience to “safely” explore parts of themselves that are too painful to dig further into. The eerie nostalgia reawoke feelings long since buried in me. I can best describe the emotions as melancholic anxiety throughout the movie-going experience.
