Look, it works more often than it doesn't. I laughed way too hard at some points, even things included in the trailers.

The idea of a person who can't feel pain being a lead in an action movie is okay enough without that element ratcheted up to 11 for comedic effect every few minutes. Like, life is dangerous enough on it's own without walking into a house with multiple booby traps.

It also has way too many convoluted points to…

I wanted to like this more than I eventually did.

Another of Nathan's patented story time reviews. So, I had plans to go see this movie Tuesday, March 11. I had another event in a town a distance from Mount Vernon, an times lined up to possibly see it. I bought tickets two nights before, grabbed my popcorn bucket the night of and drove to cover the fist event. First event wraps up, I'm excited because I'm going to a…

And we're off to a start in "The House The Mouse Built" marathon with this Looney Tunes film throwing back to classic animation.

There's a lot of funny gags and jokes in portions, it just feels like the gum that plays a plot point in the film stretched a little too long and far in areas.

Don't get me wrong. I laughed at several of the gags and story arc, it just felt like every movie I watched today, like…

"The Platform" when your mom says you have "The Platform" at home.

Lil Rel Howery apparently has a contract with 20th Century Fox to star in a shit ton of their movies designated to their streaming platform. Too bad a majority of those movies, like "The Mill" are not great. The Sisyphean back grinding work they try to dramatize, but this has not enough wheat to be anymore than a 15 minute short film.

That this is a 100 minute movie is asinine, and as others have noted, the third act "twist" undercuts the 90 minutes of movie that preceded that.

"If it bleeds, we can kill it."

A stripped down Predator vs. human that tries to do what Predators with Adrien Brody tried years ago, except that was riddled with more predators to humans.

Here, it's one apex predator versus several humans, and the body count gets visceral and brutal as the film goes on.

It revitalizes the threat the Predator was in Predator and even Predator 2, while avoiding the comic pratfalls of Alien vs. Predator and Alien Vs.…
