I really wanted to love this but it just left too many things unresolved for me. I found myself invested in the characters, and wanted to know more about them. The moments of grief and quiet we experience with Julia would have felt more powerful juxtaposed against more dynamic scenes, but the whole thing feels a bit monotone. I would have loved to know more about León, his feelings and thoughts about everything going on. There are brief moments of tension and humor that land, but this film would have benefited from more oomph overall.
