Part of the charm of the Mad Max franchise is imagining Australia's rise and rise of the (resourceful) bogan coincide with its linguistic decline. I mean, the outfits are not far off the satirical Ken in Barbie with his Rocky inspirated getup.

First time I've stepped inside a cinema since Judas and the Black Messiah. Haven't seen this much sand since Lawrence of Arabia but this is an excellent adaptation of the book (I can't remember the Lynch version as I watched it years ago). Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are perfectly cast, and America Ferrera is also excellent. There was just the right amount of Michael Cera but I wanted more Ncuti Gatwa. Great music and dancing, 5 dream houses out of 5 for me.
