Alien: Romulus borrowed too heavily from Alien and Aliens that it felt like a remix instead of its own thing. It desperately needed to have its own voice which it finally found in the last 20 minutes. Great action, jump scares and practical FX though.

Totally Killer 2023
Thinks it is a lot more clever than it actually is. I cannot believe this is from the director of 'Always Be My Maybe' which I enjoyed very much.
This film is full of obvious references and annoying repeated commentary, comparing the 80's to 2023. It gets tiresome after about 20 mins. The killer's mask is uninspired and I cannot believe this was greenlit. This movie thinks it is a new Scream of sorts (it is not).
