The first half is just constantly throwing new things at you. Hey, here’s Gwen! Here’s Miles again! Here’s a new villain! Here’s family strife! Here’s the ability to go across dimensions! Here’s Indian Spider-Man! Here’s ‘canon events’! Here’s Miguel! Here’s fatherhood! Here’s betrayal!

I was fortunate enough to see this with a full crowd including the people I love the most in this world. This was screened in an old church in the historic Houston Heights. The feelings I had during that screening are comparable only to the 2017 Astros World Series parade. Honest to god. Honest to Neil.
This movie is beyond everything. It is pure insanity. A child’s mind writ large on the big screen. We are peering into the deepest and purest aspects of Neil’s psyche. This is what art is supposed to be.
