Roald Dahl's The Witches 2020
Listen, the script here is so silly and blandly written than it never stood much of a chance, but the 90s film vs this is among the most concise argument for why practical makeup effects are always going to be more chilling than cgi.
Hathaway truly having so much fun. I don't know if it's good but it'e certainly the most noteworthy and enjoyable thing in this wholly unnecessary movie. Spencer is also doing her best but shes not really given anything truly interesting here.
I'll bump this up a bit for being willing to just let the kids stay as mice.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989
Somehow the first time I have seen this and it might be my favorite of these. I'm not saying it's the best, Raiders is so obviously like the perfect blockbuster action film, but this movie is so funny and emotional as a father/son thing, of course I'm gonna be about this movie.
Also, Connery is so fucking wonderful in this. Illumination.
