it kind of felt like this was made bc they needed smth, and studios think sequels can always make the next big buck. Boring story and everything, the songs weren’t even that great. No memorable songs, lost the Lin Manuel Miranda spark. Story felt incomplete and why’d Moana have like the same story arc as the first film? No real development of her character from 1 to 2. Couldn’t even finish it bc it just felt half-assed
1 star for the animation team who killed it, etc. visually beautiful, but not the story and the songs.
