I wouldn't say there was anything "wrong" with this movie, per se; it was beautifully shot and the performances -- particularly those of Timothee Chalamet, Monica Barbaro and Edward Norton as a somewhat-tortured Pete Seeger -- were all top-notch. One of my favorite in-theater watches in a long time. On paper, this seems like a somewhat forgettable movie but the dynamite casting and sharp and efficient screenplay makes sure the tension remains throughout. Throwback type of character-focused drama that we don't see enough of anymore.
