  Great coming of age film. Soundtrack was fantastic. Raised some excellent questions, too. What does good parenting look like? What is love? How do broken marriages affect children? How might a lack of longstanding community impact the development of a child? At what point do males transition from boyhood to manhood? At what point do children become adults? 

  The film was very nostalgic for me. Still trying to figure out how they pulled this off with the same actors all the way through. Crazy patient and I’ve got a ton of respect for that.

  I’ve never witnessed a film use background noise so effectively. The juxtaposition of lifestyle was unsettling and palpable. I think the filmmakers accomplished their goal.

  At the beginning of the movie I didn’t think much of it but by the end I thought it was one of the most beautiful pieces of art I’ve ever seen. A cleverly charming reminder of the gift of life. This film will always hold a special place in my heart.
