  This was my very first Satoshi Kon film and I really enjoyed it. The scenery is absolutely freaking gorgeous and runs seamlessly from real world to occasional dream sequence. It has a visceral feel of humanness in it's portrayal of the down-and-out people it centers around.
  While the depiction of trans people somewhat shows it's age, it does not feel like it mistreated the characters so much as simply echoing general common sentiments of the time and it is believable that they are simply the perspectives of the characters themselves, rather than the film's own take. On the whole a story of miracles and twists
