No offense to Johnny Simmons but Miles Teller was so much better for this part. Also glad JK turned up the psychotic energy for the final film.

Damien Chazelle is the GOAT of ending a film, and you can’t convince me otherwise. Each of his films leaves you absolutely shook, Whiplash maybe most of all, I feel like I could run a marathon right now lol. This film is incredible; two ambitious, terrible men who couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I also can’t relate to it less which makes it all the more compelling. Would it be crazy to do a double feature with Perfect Days..? Might be a good cool down lmao.

And ultimately I do prefer his…

Totally serviceable and aesthetically rad film about a vampire. There was a lot to like here: the atmosphere was engrossing, the performances were full on (for some reason I could not buy Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s accent though), and I actually appreciated how straight-forward of a story it was (especially since I know almost nothing about Nosferatu, so it was all new to me {was it always this horny?}). Eggers has a great sense for satisfying visuals but strangely I got a…
