Loved the cinematography of this film, the small details punchily highlighted (like elements of the gun when she points it at him) compared to long unbroken handheld shots that captivated and put you right in the moment with our characters worked so well together. Paired with an amazing soundtrack and sound design…. Mwah
But HEAR me out, this film is overrated. The actors were brilliant ofc but generally the story was a bit lackluster and boring. Sorry not sorry to the boys xx
The ending kinda ruined it tbh, the mystery surrounding the father was more interesting than the actual truth, which didn't seem related to the rest of the film. However, some truly beautiful shots and atmosphere created in this film, an interesting look at documentary. The narrative was, however, slightly hard to follow as it lacked structure. Overall a pleasing watch, I think it would have been more effective as an hour long film.
Is a film actually a good film if it can only be appreciated when 26 episodes and one film have been watched prior?
I thought the raving reviews meant that this would actually be a good film in and of its self- but let me tell u it is NOT!!! It has literally no structure, no connection to characters/ character development and it is downright misogynistic.
