    First lynch Watched hungover in the cinema did not enjoy. Radical in its rejection of cinematic comfort, maybe it did show the bones beneath the hedonistic flesh of our everyday, but also felt like it was too self-indulgent in its grotesqueness. I think it would have worked better on a generation that hadn't seen snuff films and isis beheadings in Year 8, we know the world is evil and cold already, this film revelled in the ugliness instead of offering any path out.
