    "Let everything happen to you
    Beauty and terror
    Just keep going
    No feeling is final."

In the wake of the past week, this film has never been more important. Childish hate and bigotry is all around us. The power to love is ours. The power of change is ours.

    Just keep going.

Wild that this film got made with studio money.

Hard to adequately break down the ins and outs of Sorry to Bother You. But I would be remiss to not mention Boots Riley's unique visual style. Stanfield, Thompson, and Yeun give career defining performances.

A man finding his voice in a sea of external and internal turmoil. A war for the soul and freedom against the rise of oligarchy and dehumanism. Film doesn't really get more punk than Sorry to Bother You.

More plot holes than knife wounds in the dude at the lift house.

Expertly shot action sequences, as to be expected from Vaughn. A few solid performances throughout, shout out Ralph Fine (I mean Fiennes), Harris Dickinson (just fine), Djimon Hounsou (even more so fine), and Gemma Arterton. But neither of those a good film make. Far less than the sum of it's parts. This really could've been about 40 minutes shorter.

I can excuse historical inaccuracies and creative…

As a collection of interconnected skits, this works. As a complete film, less so.

    69 (Yeah, Baby. Yeah!)

The final film of the trilogy, as it should've been. Seems pretty obvious, in hindsight, that Myers was running out cohesive ideas. As I mentioned above, this plays out far more like a stream of loosely connected skits than a cohesive project. As a result: when the jokes hit, they hit with gut-busting laughter; when they don't, you're left just kinda staring…

I too would pick Andy Serkis pretending to be an ape over Adrian Brody.

Not only is this film a technical achievement, it is also a sprawling and epic adventure film laced with metaphor. All supported by some truly fantastic performances. Peter Jackson's love letter to cinema and scathing review of the human condition. Very few blockbusters contain the amount of heart and care put into this film.

I can't believe we haven't given Jack Black more villain roles,…

Very seldom is a film darker than the source material.

An insurmountable sense of darkness and dread carried on Pugh's shoulders. Her performance is frightening, in a good way. One of the tightest scripts I've seen in recent memory, so few words spoken but each with intent.

This is not an easy watch. You're not going to have a great time. It's going to stick with you and it's going to hurt.

I'd like to see more of Cosmo…
