  This movie panders to an audience who has read the book. There’s a lot going on in this film and the fact that Clarice was recast really sours the whole film for me. How can we pretend it’s the same person when Hannibal is the same?

  I wasn’t prepared for how bisexual this movie was, and I absolutely loved it. I love a good modern vampire, this guy is living, loving, and fucking in the 80s and doing it very meticulously and successfully.
  This films Renfield is very sassy, possessive, and gay (again, loving it!!!), especially loved that one shot where Renfield is cleaning the hand wound of his vampire master and the shot looks like he’s giving him a blow job, TWICE!
