How did Reb Brown end up in movies? I've never seen him emote. His constant expression throughout everything I've seen him in, regardless of context, is mild ammusement. Annie McEnroe tried really hard and failed spectacularly. Christopher Lee clearly didn't care. To sum up, the acting is atrocious. The editing is very confusing. It makes the action scenes really hard to follow. Did the New Wave band follow them to Transylvania? It kept cutting to them performing during the orgy…

A decent character study about a very toxic relationship with good acting, shot composition and a moody jazz score. If you like these sort of things I'd recommend it. However, it's not really a movie in my taste so I doubt I'll ever watch it again.

Not the best, but not the worst either. A big crutch in these old Spaghetti Westerns is the day-for-night stuff. It's not as much in this as in Navajo Joe, but it's still a fair amount. Better story and a better cast than A Fistful of Dollars, in my opinion. When you add Lee Van Cleef, Klaus Kinski and Luigi Pistilli you've already got your work cut out for you. There also wasn't as much day-for-night footage in this. I didn't remember how similar the ending was to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The shot composition, how the actors were posed, the music, everything was so similar. It's like a trial run for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and I'm fine with it.
