The Official Story 1985
I did not watch this movie under optimal circumstances.
Context: For the past few months I've been going through every possible movie I can from 1985 as a personal challenge. I'm almost at the end with only a few movies left to watch/rewatch. The Official Story has consistently been at the top of my list of movies I've been excited to watch for this challenge and it has been a bitch to find a way to watch it. A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge 1985
The only interesting thing about this movie are the gay undertones. However, it gets pretty much abandoned in the third act to the point where it's almost rendered pointless. They should've went all in on it, but I guess that the director was clueless about it when they made the movie.

Minnesota Clay 1964
Not the best, but not the worst either. A big crutch in these old Spaghetti Westerns is the day-for-night stuff. It's not as much in this as in Navajo Joe, but it's still a fair amount. For a Few Dollars More 1965
Better story and a better cast than A Fistful of Dollars, in my opinion. When you add Lee Van Cleef, Klaus Kinski and Luigi Pistilli you've already got your work cut out for you. There also wasn't as much day-for-night footage in this. I didn't remember how similar the ending was to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The shot composition, how the actors were posed, the music, everything was so similar. It's like a trial run for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and I'm fine with it.
