  Great baseball movie with a cast of lovable losers and plenty of funny one liners. Similar to a baseball game though, I got a little antsy and bored toward the end.

  I can see how in 1968 on 70mm and off a tab of bad acid this movie would rock somebody’s shit. But in 2020, it was not hitting. Pretty sure it’s just because it aligns directly against my tastes. Lack of dialogue, long drawn out shots, cold atmosphere. not my thing. Specifically found the first 30 minutes excruciatingly boring. Monkeys learning how to use a bone as weapon? I can YouTube search “chimp smoking cigarette” and get a million hits. Bone stuff is nothing once you’ve seen a monkey face a menthol.
