This film starts out perfectly (right in the middle of the plot). The rising action IS the introduction, as it should be. This film ends as abruptly as it starts. This film does so much to match the plot. This film is almost perfect in that way.
I do have to say, Joseph Gordon-Levitt didn’t get enough credit for his contribution! His character more or less makes this film what it is!

I’ll admit: I’ve only seen this movie once. It was the first time o ever went to a theater on my own. There was no other people in the theater. I took 3 huge bong hits right before it. I have almost no memory of the film other than that it was extremely colorful, Christina Ricci was HOT, John Goodman kicked ass, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I may, at some point, watch the movie again. Or I won’t, we’ll see. But I highly recommend a viewing of this film under the influence of borderline too much cannabis. It was a precious experience for me!
